Ruedi Baur

Ruedi Baur is a franco-swiss multidisciplinary graphic designer. Ruedi has an unmistakable track record in the history of European graphic design.

Ruedi kindly accepted to talk to me during his presence in Porto for a workshop at ESAD, Matosinhos.

Throughout this extremely inspiring conversation we touched on how Ruedi's work ranges from the field of visual identity design as well as sign systems like the one he developed for the Cologne Bohn Airport. We also spoke about the importance of research in his search for a specific language to each commission.

Towards the end of the episode we talked about the Scuola del non sapere. This school is based on a disposition that is essential to the discipline of design: curiosity. To assume that we don't know is a first step towards being able to change the near future.

I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording this conversation. Happy listening.
